Kath Papas, Director of Ausdance (Vic) says, ‘It is exciting to have this new award category reflecting the highly sophisticated, cutting-edge work being created by artists who choose to work in this field, whether it be with young people, people with disabilities or community groups. This inaugural shortlist is truly reflective of the extraordinary quality and diversity in this area of dance practice in Australia’.
