In this, the third episode of our video series, I sat down with one of the dance industry’s biggest stars, Nick Lazzarini.
I have to say…when I knew I was going to have the opportunity to interview who I view as one of the best technicians and dancers of my generation…I may have freaked out a tiny bit. I did not know what to expect. Was he going to be nice? Was he going to be open and receptive to my questions?
Well, let me tell you all. Nick Lazzarini is the funniest, nicest, and one of the most grounded people I’ve ever interviewed. I could not stop laughing, and he was so natural in front of the camera. Which makes sense — he has been on a few reality shows in his time.
Check out my interview below where I caught up with Lazzarini while he was in the midst of teaching at JUMP Atlanta. We talked about his love of teaching, the evolution of Shaping Sound, and his advice for young dancers today.
