If a business idea is fueled by passion, it can evolve into a global movement. For sisters Gail and Lynda, the creation of Energetiks in 1988 began as a simple storefront, dedicated to offering high-quality dancewear in Melbourne, Australia. Since then, that vision has transformed Energetiks into an internationally celebrated brand renowned for its innovative, premium-quality dancewear.

“We grew up in the shop! Mom would have us in our baby carousels under the shoe display,” recalls Hannah, the daughter and niece of Energetiks’ founders and currently the Operations Manager. “From early on, I experienced the dedication and care that fuels every decision behind the scenes.”

Hannah’s fond memories of working alongside her family reflect the passion that remains at the heart of Energetiks.

For over 35 years, Energetiks has embraced a commitment not just to exceptional dancewear but to a future that is sustainable, inclusive and empowering for dancers everywhere. “We don’t just strive to provide quality; we believe in empowering dancers to perform at their best while making a positive impact,” explains Hannah.

Sustainability is at the heart of Energetiks’ values. As a proud holder of the ‘Product of Australia’ logo, a prestigious certification from the Australian government, the company ensures that its practices meet the highest standards of quality. Energetiks’ factories and fabric mills are also certified using eco-friendly dyes and materials, including fabrics made from recycled plastic bottles.

“Everything is responsibly sourced, from the ground up,” Hannah shares. “Every step, from dyes to fabrics to swing tags to packaging, is part of our sustainability journey.”

Energetiks also champions inclusivity, offering over 22,000 SKUs in a variety of skin tones, gender-neutral options, and sizes that accommodate everyone from toddlers to adults. One of the company’s latest collections even features a playful watermelon scent built into the fabric, a nod to the brand’s forward-thinking approach to dancewear.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Energetiks was highly sought after. The brand’s quality, reliability, stock service lines and prompt service allowed them to rise to the challenge of meeting the needs of American dancers. “We constantly review our inventory to ensure minimal backorders, and ship orders within 24 hours via express service to ensure arrival to our USA customers in just three days, all with a minimal freight fee,” Hannah shares. “Once dancers experience Energetiks, they never look back!”

The brand’s appeal has already attracted prestigious clients, including renowned dance companies like Larkin and icons like Debbie Allen. With premium materials, superior customer service and competitive pricing, Energetiks has quickly caught the attention of dancers in the U.S.

As Hannah says, “Energetiks is simply unmatched — more affordable, faster shipping and great quality. It’s a no-brainer!”
